There are two types of veneers that may be used to enhance or recreate a smile, and we use both. Often, patients are advised that porcelain veneers are optimal for the replication of natural characteristics in the smile. We have found, however, that results are only partially attributed to materials. An even more important factor in the achievement of beauty is training and experience. Whether a patient selects bonding with resin material or porcelain veneers, we create stunning results.

Bonding, or direct veneers, is the placement of a pliable resin material onto the front surface of a tooth or teeth. This material is shaded to the ideal hue to match surrounding enamel or to complement the natural complexion. It is then shaped to perfection to cover a gap, chip, crack or other cosmetic concern. Using special light, we cure the resin material, which hardens it and bonds it to the natural tooth. Bonding looks just like natural enamel and can last many years.Porcelain veneers are an indirect process through which we can disguise a cosmetic problem or enhance the entire smile. In this process, we begin by reducing enamel very slightly.

Impressions are made and sent to our dental lab along with specifications of size, shape, and color. Veneers are made and returned to our office within about ten days. Before bonding veneers to the tooth or teeth, we evaluate the size, shape, and color to ensure the most natural appearance. With good care, porcelain veneers can also last for several years.
